The Da Vinci Conspiracy
This is our latest and great creative teambuilding, loosely based on the book The DaVinci Code.
Whereas the book addresses Christianity and challenges some long held beliefs, this teambuilding does not touch on religious themes. Instead, we have taken the concept of secret societies, famous art and artists along with the best in creative problem solving and cryptic clues and created a fascinating combination mystery/ historical art treasure hunt.
The adventure incorporates 5 to 6 people playing pivotal characters in the teambuilding, that the teams will interact with and receive assistance from. The characters, as in our popular Mission Impossible event, are provided by your management team or employees. We have found this to be one of the most successful components of the teambuilding.
It is our experience that having management playing the roles, immediately breaks down barriers, encourages new forms of communication and challenges long held assumptions and beliefs that people have labored under.
The people playing characters have commented to us over and over again, not only the value, but the tremendous fun they have had in participating in this fashion.
Skills Utilized – The teambuilding draws on relationship building, communication skills, negotiation, teamwork, time management, problem solving and out and out creativity, ingenuity and fun. Each team has their own unique adventure as they choose how to approach the event and the characters, while getting the information they are looking for. This is where your best customer service and team practices come into play. The teambuilding ends with an important ‘lesson’ in coming together as a larger team to succeed.
Opening and Closing - We think fantastic teambuildings, start with a great and creative beginning that immediately inspires teams to jump in. We like to end with a flourish, so everyone has the experience and satisfaction of their teamwork, having paid off.
Layout of the event:
The event begins with all players gathered in a room to hear a lecture by a world famous art historian about a famous lost piece of artwork of DaVinci’s. When they enter the room, they are greeted instead to a crime scene. The treasurer of the secret society has been murdered and the famous Mona Lisa painting has been stolen and held for ransom. They will learn what they need to do to get access to the ransom money and to recover the painting..
Each team will be given some tools, map etc. to use as they set out on their adventure to recover the painting. The clues are a combination of historical, creative and visual, and will take the teams to different locations where they will meet the characters, who will challenge the team to find the pieces of information that they are privy to. The clues are fashioned with every personality type and skill set in mind, so that everyone will feel like a successful team contributor - i.e. there is something for everyone is this teambuilding.
Characters in the DaVinci Conspiracy include:
1. Monk
2. Librarian
3. Art restorer that is working on paintings
4. Security Guard/ Museum Police
5. Curator
6. Optional Character- French Baker
Throughout the teambuilding, each team will be gathering information to acquire the pieces of the ancient manuscript that will reveal the location of the society treasury. When they get to their final destination, they will have to let go of preconceived notions of ‘winning’ as they realize co-operation is the only chance they have to succeed. Sound intriguing??? You should see the ending that we have come up with!! The lessons of the whole being greater than the sum of their parts, are learned, as all teams need to come together towards the end, for anyone to succeed.
Time Frame - 2 1/2 –3 plus hours, depending on group size and debrief requested
All materials, costumes and props are included in our pricing.
Venue - Hotels, resorts, office buildings, or any venue that can accommodate locations for our characters.
We also make available extras that embellish the event including t-shirts, small prizes, and souvenirs.
Examples include- Light up DaVinci Pens, Customized DaVinci Chocolate Bars, and Customized cookies.
