What does it feel like, in times like these, for your employees to go to work?

Perhaps you've noticed the symptoms of low morale making themselves felt in subtle or not-so-subtle ways: lackluster job performance, a general feeling of malaise, stress and anxiety. Faced with economic uncertainty, a downsized workplace, and increased workloads, today's employees are experiencing their lowest morale levels since such things first started being measured.

Managers and human resource professionals have much they can do to dramatically improve the health and morale of their employees-- and without budget increases or big expenditures. Making use of some easy, creative and proven tools, you can revive and revitalize the talent and energy already in your office, as well as make long-lasting changes that all can participate in.

Numerous studies report that people work for more than mere compensation alone. True job satisfaction arises from the opportunity to share talents and strengths, to contribute, to be heard, to make a difference in the world, to discover solutions, to learn new skills, to create community.

An atmosphere of trust and safety must exist for people to truly be able to voice the concerns that prevent them from doing or being their best. We will create that space for people, in this fun and highly-interactive workshop where we concentrate on these "high motivation touch stones." You won't walk away with a 'binder' full of techniques, but rather with a sense of possibility, a bunch of wonderful solutions and ideas that you have generated yourselves, lots of laughter, new found respect and a real shift in attitude.

Training Options - This all day training (6 hours) can be done in customized modules, depending on the specific goals you are looking to achieve. We also can provide lunchtime games and 'extenders' to keep the mood and creativity flowing.

Below is a general outline of some of the options we can offer. Please keep in mind that it will be modified, once we get back our interview information from the employees and have more of a sense of what your specific goals are.

Preliminary Background Work
We contact each employee by e-mail with some confidential questions that can be sent back to us anonymously to see what is on their minds, problem areas they would like to see addressed, and what would be most helpful to cover in a non-threatening but helpful fashion. We will also have a phone consultation to go over anything that you would like to see included in the day. We use that information to formulate our emphasis and schedule for theday, to choose our modules and topics and to decide the time to be spent on each. All modules and schedules are set up to be highly interactive and energizing: i.e.: you will be active and engaged and not sitting around all day.

Icebreakers and Introductions
Fun and unusual Ice Breakers to open up the day with. Agenda modules run the gamut from our popular Human Treasure Hunt, to Go Fish Game, Peculiarities Game, Customized Bingo, or a number of other events or games that generate energy and ideas and set the tone for the day.

Brainstorming session to set the tone for the day
Understanding Motivation and Morale- We are all motivated by different things in life. Learn what it is that keeps you thriving and what it is that gets in the way, of feeling motivated and supported at work

How to Create Fun, Humor, lightheartedness and Creativity
Everyone wants to be part of an environment that supports the best in life. How can we address some of the concerns and problems in the workplace by solving them from a different point of view.

How to Communicate Authentically
How do we create and environment and forums at work that support people to communicate authentically. Authentic and honest communication fosters creativity, possibility, and allows previously unrecognized talents to shine. Most of us hold back giving our all, out of resentment, anger, or unresolved or spoken conflicts. All of this effects productivity, motivation, willingness and all and out job satisfaction.

Workshop on Recognition and MotivationTools
Focus is on the practical and do-able. Roll up your sleeves and plan to have some fun.

Recognition Pantry
Praise means the most when it is given in a timely or immediate fashion. What can you keep on hand to make sure you have the tools to reward people and say 'good job' anytime you like.

Attitude and Creativity
Creative and fun exercises to look at how we can bring out our hidden best and creatively thrive.

Low cost to no cost methods for Thanking, Surprising, Supporting and Inspiring
There are so many things that we can do in the course of the day to change our workplace environment and our attitude and to make the environment more "worker- friendly". A potpourri hands on workshop of some great ideas.

Toy Building
Creating a legendary and value based company through this exercise, your creations, and presentations. Why are you a legend? What components are necessary to make you world famous? A fun, engaging and lively activity. Take out your tool kit and bring us your building skills.
What's My Flavor
Ben and Jerry's move over. Here is your chance to take the day's learning and create your own flavor ice cream, marketing campaign, and presentation. We bring the cherries and the whipped cream, and you conjure up the creation, the menu and the story behind it. Need I say more?

Game show - What's my line. Who's the Boss, Jeopardy, Trivia, You Bet your Assets
A fabulous way to review concepts, address difficulties in the workplace humorously and to have some big time fun. Prizes awarded.

Surprise Recognition Ceremony - The best ending to a day you can imagine. We will keep it a surprise from you, but both tears and laughter will abound, as you are recognized by your peers for your value and for your talents. Bring your bow ties and tiaras!

Internal and External Customer Service Modules
This is our 5 part communication/ service model, presented in a very creative fashion. It is usually a 3 hour block, but can be done in module form

Communicating
Communicating is the only way you'll find out what your customers and co-workers really need, and therefore the only way you'll be able to provide the level of service they want. Communicating happens on many levels, not least importantly on a non-verbal level, so be sure that your body language and tone of voice convey openness, interest and respect.

Listening empathically
Listening empathically means listening with the intent to really understand your customers' concerns and feelings. When you reflect these concerns back to them, this lets them know they've truly been heard. Listening empathically and reflecting engages both right and left sides of the brain.

Attitude
Attitude is one of the few things in life that is totally under our control. The attitude with which you approach your work, teammates and customers will color how you feel, how they feel and how effective you are. It will also help determine the amount of energy and enthusiasm you bring to your job, which has a lot to do with your level of satisfaction at work.

Service
Service at its highest level is your main commitment. You are one of the main reasons your group will gain a reputation for providing exemplary customer service. You play an important role in creating an environment where service becomes your priority as a team.

Supporting
Supporting yourself and your team is no less important than supporting your customers. When you feel empowered personally and as part of a team, you have the energy, enthusiasm and ability to be effective. You can only do your job well when you are feeling accepted and supported as part of a team and have a network of colleagues to rely on.
